Basic Guidance for Beginners

Be sure to get the Recipe Collection; it's chock full of helpful information as well as step by step instructions on mixing, kneading, shaping and rising the dough. You may mix and knead by hand, in a bread machine, or use a powerful mixer. We carry the machines we most recommend.

The first thing you'll need is a mill, then some wheat. We've listed the most common items purchased to get started on the website; just click the "GETTING STARTED " link to see and/or print it.
