Wheat Tested for Mycotoxins/Fungus
Is there fungus or mycotoxins on the wheat we sell?
Wheat grown in the Southeast and Midwest can have a problem with fungus when/if the growing season is unusually wet. Montana, however, never has this issue as the growing season is dry.
But farmers where this is a potential problem will routinely spray to prevent it as well as test for it. Farmers have a huge incentive to prevent this problem as the grain is not sellable if it shows up.
