What's the Shelf Life of Gluten, Lecithin, Yeast, and Grain?
What's the shelf life of gluten, lecithin, yeast, and grain? How do I store them?
The gluten stores indefinitely, no refrigeration needed.
The grain comes in buckets tightly sealed and store indefinitely as long as bugs and moisture are kept out. We recommend the gamma-seal lids for easy open and close with a tight seal. Future refills simply get poured into the bucket with the gama seal, so it's a one time purchase.
The yeast has a 2 yr. shelf life stamped on the package if kept vacuum sealed; once opened, it must be stored in either the refrigerator or freezer and stays fresh for up to a year.
The lecithin keeps for close to a year at room temp. and longer when refrigerated. Be sure to store it in a jar or airtight canister as bugs will do anything to get to it. Yum!
