Getting Started GLUTEN-FREE
I want to recommend some of my favorite cookbooks, two of which are 90% gluten-free and 1 is 100% GF/dairy free/egg free, and ALL are very family friendly. These would enable you to cook just one way for the whole family. From our book section: What the Bible Says About Healthy Living Cookbook (item 03422); Country Beans (item 00364); and Mommy and Me Gluten-Free! (08929). I've been cooking my way through the WTBS cookbook since it arrived and we have discovered a number of new family favorites - and have replaced some old favorites with their version of the same. Yum!! In a few recipes calling for wheat or spelt flour, simply substitute your freshly milled GF baking mix (p. 6 of Country Beans or Favorite GF Flour recipe at the end of the attached class handout).
We also carry a smaller cookbook specifically for making GF breads in a bread machine, Gluten-Free Baking Classics for the Bread Machine (item 03423). We teach cooking classes and many are archived and available for online viewing at your convenience. (See the link near the top of our HOME page). So that you may get started right away using some of the great recipes from our GF classes, I have attached the handouts for you.
