Mill Comparison
Problem:
Which mill should I choose?Solution:
Both the WonderMill and NutriMill are high quality electric mills, quickly yielding fine soft flour. Both come with a limited lifetime warranty (issued by the manufacturers), and both have micronized steel milling heads that never need sharpening. They're also "self-cleaning"; simply allow them to run for several seconds after milling is complete, and you've just cleaned your mill!
The WonderMill is noticeably faster than the NutriMill and also tends to drop less flour on the counter. The WonderMill canister connects to the mill by a lid with tube and may be stored separately, or stacked directly on top when not in use.
The NutriMill has the larger capacity (nearly 18 cups), however, since our Basic Bread Dough recipe only requires 4 1/2 cups of flour, the 12 cup capacity of the WonderMill is more than sufficient. The NutriMill also has the option of a slightly course grind using "LOW" speed and a locking lid drawer style canister. We have found that the Nutrimill will not always feed the large kernels of corn, so cornbread lovers may find this to be an issue.
Still undecided? We suggest considering the difference in appearance and select the "look" you would prefer to have on your kitchen counter.
